Welcome to TJ's Studios! This site is designed to serve as a friendly community where you can discuss, critique, and get support for any of our products. But before we let you just willy nilly run around our site, we must first go over some ground rules. If you've been on the internet anytime within the last 20 years, you will likely be familiar with the following guidelines (they're pretty standard on most forums). Keep in mind that you will need to adhere to these guidelines at all times by becoming a member of our community.
There is a search bar found at the top right of the page. You can use it at anytime to find a similar post to answer your question. While the site is in its infancy this will likely not need to be used much, however it still may be of use and you should use it when necessary.
In addition to any rules and regulations you agree to when you sign up on TJ's Studios, here are some general guidelines to follow. I will update and change these periodically, and it is your responsibility to keep up to date with them.
• Don't post in all capital letters, use a misleading title, excessive punctuation, and/or non-standard symbols, etc.
While everyone wants their post read, it is important to let your post stand on its own merit. I wont go around trying to correct your grammar or anything like that, but try not to make your post standout by using such practices.
• Do not "bump" posts.
This is not so much an issue right now, but try to refrain from bumping your post if it gets buried and no responses.
• Do not post about locked or deleted threads.
If a post was moderated, it was moderated for a reason. I likely will only moderate a post in extreme circumstances (such as spamming or if by law). I do believe in a free and open internet and I intended to take the same approach as much as possible on my site.
• Please use the appropriate tags.
Right now the forum software does not correctly restrict tags or enforce on-topic tags. As a result, when posting make sure you use the appropriate tags. For example, don't use the "Site Announcements" tag for a thread requesting cute cat photos. You may face penalties and your tag will be removed. If you don't know which tag to use, simply use the "General" tag.
• Do not Spam.
This is probably the single most important rule on here. Spam is really wild on the internet and I will be ruling against it with an iron fist. If you intentionally post spam, especially in excess, I will take severe action against your account and IP address if needed.
• Please refrain from posting pornography, malicious software, shady links, or anything illegal in the U.S. or other countries.
This one is kind of a no brainer, but please don't post such material. There's other places on the net for that. Illegal activities will be dealt with appropriately if I am required by law to do something.
• Profanity is not against the forum rules, but try to use it in moderation.
It's the internet, so this is a light rule. But the general idea is I want the site friendly to all, and excessive profanity will deter future guests. Try to be polite and respectable as much as possible.
While these "forum rules" are officially posted for the General Discussion channel, they apply for all the other channels that are found on TJ's Studios. So, for example, if you post something in the IB Reviews channel, you will still be held liable to these rules.
That about does it for now. Happy posting!
